The number of coronavirus cases in Uganda is increasing. This evening, the Ministry of Health has confirmed five more cases in the country in addition to the four President Museveni announced in the morning.

The five positive cases have come from the 227 samples tested today at the Uganda Viral Research Institute. 222 samples tested negative for COVID-19, according to the Ministry of Health.

This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 23. This is happening as the country is under partial lockdown, with mass gatherings of any kind, bars, clubs, concerts, and public transport all suspended by the President in the due course of the week.
