With the Health Ministry set to release the first three individuals that have fully recovered from COVID-19 in Uganda, Health Minister Dr Jane Ruth Aceng has delivered more good news that more 15 patients will also be discharged tomorrow on Easter Sunday or Monday.

Aceng said the patients pending to be released have tested negative on several accounts. Once they are discharged, the total number of recoveries in Uganda will go to 18. She revealed that even the others who are yet to beat the virus are in very stable condition.

Yesterday on Good Friday, all the 439 samples tested NEGATIVE for COVID-19. Uganda still has 53 confirmed cases of COVID-19. The Ministry said the 610 contacts to the confirmed cases are under follow up while a total of 654 individuals have been discharged from various quarantine centres.
