Going by rate at which Uganda is registering recoveries for Coronavirus (COVID-19), Ugandan doctors are about to be outsourced by other badly hit countries to help them treat their COVID-19 cases.

Today, Mulago National Specialised Hospital has discharged three more patients this morning, taking the total number of recovered COVID-19 hospitals from Mulago to 20, and 41 nationwide.

The Ministry of Health has said that only three patients are still undergoing treatment at Mulgo hospital.

Dr Rosemary Byanyima, Deputy Director of Mulago Hospital applauded the facility health workers for continuing to work tirelessly to make sure no one loses life.

“We are happy to have discharged three patients today. 20 patients have so far been treated and discharged from Mulago and we have three left. It hasn’t been easy but the determination by the medical personnel and God have made this possible,” Byanyima said.

Currently, Uganda’s recovered patients are more than those still undergoing treatment in hospitals and the Ministry is riding on this success to make sure those still receiving treatment recover soon, and try to curb the further spreading of the deadly disease. To date, Uganda has not recorded a single death from the disease.
