A bizarre family feud has left residents of Gombe in Nansana Municipality stunned after a father dragged his own son to local council (LC) authorities for sleeping with his wife.

David Ssekabira, 50, accuses his son, Shafik Walusimbi, 30, of forcefully sleeping with his stepmother, Christine Ndagire, 24.

Speaking before the LC, Ndagire revealed her version of events, alleging that Shafik invited her to his home under false pretenses.

“When I arrived, he grabbed me by the neck and forced himself on me,” she tearfully recounted. “I was too afraid to tell my husband because I didn’t want to face the shame.”

Walusimbi admitted to having sex with his stepmother but denied any wrongdoing. “She consented to it,” he argued. “It wasn’t forced.”

Walusimbi claimed his actions were fueled by revenge, accusing his father of having an affair with his girlfriend.

The local chairperson, Ssalongo Kamya, struggled to mediate the volatile family drama. After several attempts to resolve the matter, Kamya referred the case to the police, stating it was beyond the council’s jurisdiction.
