Residents of Kyebando, Wakiso, were left in shock after discovering what appeared to be a grave in a local compound—only to later learn it was a prank carried out by two young boys.

The bizarre incident unfolded when property owner Martine Kibirango was alerted by concerned neighbors who had found a note claiming that a baby had been buried on his land. Alarmed by the message, Kibirango immediately reported the matter to the village Local Council (LC) and the police, fearing a crime had taken place.

Authorities, led by Officer in Charge (OC) Obima, quickly arrived at the scene to investigate. However, the situation took an unexpected turn when a man revealed that children from the area were responsible for the supposed burial.

It was soon discovered that the two boys had actually buried a chicken and staged a fake grave as part of a misguided prank. When confronted, the boys blamed each other, but police ordered them to exhume the buried chicken in front of the gathered crowd to reveal the truth.

While the incident ended without any real harm, it left residents shaken.
