If you thought your love life was bad, wait until you see how people are getting emotionally frostbitten on WhatsApp.

A trending thread on X (formerly Twitter) has left the internet howling — and clutching its hearts — after users shared screenshots of the coldest, most embarrassingly painful replies they’ve received from their romantic partners. From savage one-liners to brutally dry responses, the streets are not safe for the emotionally vulnerable.

One poor soul texted “I miss you,” only to be met with a chilling: “Oh.” Another hopeful lover wrote, “I had a dream about us last night,” and the reply? “Lol. Dream again.” Someone else shared a heartfelt paragraph, only to be blessed with the dreaded: “K.”

As one user put it, “This isn’t heartbreak, this is a masterclass in emotional detachment.”

And yet, in the middle of all this digital rejection, the rest of us are laughing, crying, and screenshotting for future therapy sessions.

It’s the perfect reminder that in the modern dating world, love is war, and sometimes… you lose with a single “Seen.”

Here a a few selected screenshots from the thread — viewer discretion is advised (for your dignity).
