The Uganda ministry of Education and Sports has allowed 63 of Bridge schools campuses in Uganda to resume with their studies. However, the re-opening of the schools will last till the end of this term to allow pupils sit for their end of year promotional exams.

Bridge schools have also secured an interim court order restraining government from closing their campuses. The government had expected the pupils to continue with their education at neighbouring UPE schools.

According to officials, the re-opening of the schools  will enable the pupils to apply in other schools in the coming academic year in case the High court execution order upon Bridge schools is not successfully challenged in court.
