Police yesterday arrested 40 people in Kisenyi, Kampala down town. They are suspected of stealing a 600 metre wire mesh from President Museveni’s farm at Kisozi in Gomba district. The now detained suspects invaded Museveni’s farm on December 11th and since then police has been on a hunt for them.

During the weekly Police press conference at Naguru Police head quarters, police spokesperson, Andrew Kaweesi, said that according to the Police intelligence report, the suspects carried out an organised crime which successfully enabled them run away with the wires.
“Ranches with wire meshes are of recent falling victims of these organised crimes” he added.
“Good enough the wire mesh was recovered in the Kampala slum of Kisenyi” said Kaweesi. Kaweesi confirmed that the suspects will have to appear before court to face charges of theft.
