I hid in Luzira prison latrines to read books — Emmanuel Okello, the murder suspect reveals how he excelled in S6 UACE exams

While other students were in posh schools reading in spacious libraries and some with Internet connection and well stocked libraries, Emmanuel Okello, who scored 19 points out of 20 in UACE 2016 results that were released yesterday revealed that he hid in the latrines of Luzira prison to get extra time to read.

Yes, success does not come easy. Emmanuel braved the stench of the latrines to get the flying colours.

He scored scored 19 points out of 20 falling just one point short of getting maximum points. He scored General Paper – C3, History – B, Entrepreneurship Education – A, CRE – A,  and a D2 in Subsidiary ICT.

He is on remand for murder at Luzira Prison and revealed during an interview with NBS TV that he wants to study Law. 

The 2016 UACE results were released yesterday at the Office of the Prime minster. A total of 104,361 students registered for the exams last year.
