One-year-old Jeremiah Nuwagaba was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia and Pneumonia after birth. At the tender age of three months he was operated in Mulago Hospital, but the operation didn’t go as planned. The doctors advised for a specialised liver transplant in India to save his life.

Jeremiah requires $ 45,000 (roughly Shs170m) to cater for medical expenses in India for the liver transplant. The fee will cater for the operation on Jeremiah and his father, Alex Agaba who will be the liver donor.  Referral to a hospital for the transplant has been given by Consultant Dr Justus Byarugaba as well as Norvik Hospital.

Jeremiah’s mother, Barbra Kyarabebire is a nursery school teacher and the father is just starting off in self-employment (small scale printing service).

Family and friends hold meetings every Friday at 5.30pm at Ibamba Restaurant inside the Uganda Museum gardens to raise money for this cause.

“Please, give/donate whatever you can afford so that Jeremiah lives like you and me. I shall also be very grateful if you can get us or refer us to where compassionate assistance for such a cause can be accessed,” Agaba requested.

You can donate to this humble cause by sending mobile money to 0781495555, 0703972459 (Alex Agaba) , 0782022637 (Aggrey Aturinde) or make a deposit on Centenary Bank Acc. No 3620900536. #SaveJeremiah.
