Current affairs analyst Frank Gashumba has sarcastically thanked the Uganda police for the arrest of Kyadondo East Member of Parliament aspirant Robert Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine.
“If you arrest a loved citizen, its always free publicity for him and people sympathise with those who are oppressed”, Gashumba stated in his Facebook live video.
He added that police arrests made several public figures extremely popular.
“People like Ken Lukyamuzi, Andrew Mwenda and Dr Kiiza Besigye became popular due to their continued arrest by police, ” he added. According to Gashumba, Bobi’s arrest has come at the right time and this has given him an upper edge ahead of the Thursday elections.
“By Friday Bobi Wine will be the MP of Kyadondo East. May God bless police for the good work done”, he mockingly concluded.
