Democratic Party have disowned Ronald Mayinja for performing at the NRM event that was organized over the weekend to thank the 317 Members of Parliament that voted for the age limit amendment.
According to the party secretary general Hon. Gerald Siranda, he stated that Mayinja is a disgrace to the country before revealing that he even has no party membership card.
“He’s not our member”, Siranda said.
Siranda further stated ; “It’s absurd a musician like Ronald Mayinja attended the function where people were jubilating after removing the Age limit for presidents. Mayinja would have attended any other function but not the one people were celebrating after leaving other people’s lives in danger.”
The secretary general tasked Mayinja to reflect on his songs like ‘ Africa’ so that he does not fall in what described as a trap.
