The political climate in Bugiri Municipality is quite an interesting one as opposition camps; FDC and JEEMA kicked off their rallies. The two opposition parties failed to come to consensus on who to field for the By-elections.
The first day of the campaign rallies took Bugiri electorate on a whirlwind of excitement as popular singer and legislator Bobi Wine backed Asumani Basalirwa.
In the other rally, singer Mathias Walukaga, known for his politically critical songs, performed with FDC’s Eunice Namatende while in company of party president, Kizza Besigye.
As the opposition camps fight, NRM’s party president, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will soon be expected to endorse their candidate at a rally.
