Outspoken Pastor of Makerere Community Church, Martin Ssempa will appeal the two-year sentence handed to YMCA student Brian Isiko after he pleaded guilty to harassing Kabarole Woman MP Sylvia Rwabwongo.

Ssempa has formally written to the Buganda Road Court Chief Magistrate requesting for the “complete typed copy of court proceedings, judgment, and exhibits in Case No. 583/2018, Uganda Vs Brian Isiko,” so as to assist him in the appeal process.

“As a father, a Pastor and a Mentor of young men, I am troubled by the outcome of the above-mentioned case. I seek to assist the convict in lodging an appeal to gain his freedom,” Ssempa wrote.
