BUGIRI: Police break into Planet Hotel to arrest Bobi Wine only to find an empty, well-made bed

At around 3 am, the police surrounded and later broke into Planet Hotel in Bugiri where Kyadondo East MP, Robert Kyagulanyi, and his team resided.

 

The plan was to arrest the musician cum politician who went to campaign for Jeema’s president, Asuman Basalirwa.

Basalirwa and four others are running for the Bugiri Municipality seat in Parliament. 

Matooke Republic has learnt that Kyagulanyi beat police at its game at around 5 am when force broke into his hotel room only to be greeted by an empty bed. 

In response, police arrested four of Kyagulanyi’s team including his personal assistant, video director Kim XP and polling agents of candidate Asuman Basalirwa. 

Earlier in the night, Basalirwa’s house was also coded off by the military ahead of the candidate’s final campaign today.
