Celebrated musician and legislator, Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine is on cloud nine after the candidate he supported with his might emerged the victor in the just concluded Bugiri Municipality election.

Bobi Wine was at loggerheads with FDC strongman Col Kiiza Besigye with the duo accusing each other of opportunism when they supported different candidates in the same race despite being best friends.

Basalirwa, Bobi Wine’s candidate floored Eunice Namatende of FDC and John Francis Oketcho of the NRM despite the losers drawing President Museveni and Dr. Besigye to campaign for them.

“I am proud to be associated with you Asuman Basalirwa,” Bobi Wine wrote.

His wife Barbie Itungo also congratulated Basalirwa and her husband saying that “You can’t just hope for happy endings. You have to believe in them, then do the work and take the risks,” she wrote.
