While in the United States of America (USA) where he is receiving “specialised treatment”, musician turned politician, Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi wine) has called upon the American government and taxpayers to stop funding the dictatorial government of Yoweri Museveni.

Recounting his torture following his arrest in Arua, the Kyadondo East Member of Parliament told the American taxpayers that their donations to Uganda are used to buy torture and repressive tools to suppress dissenting views.

“We call upon the American government to stop funding the criminal government of Uganda with taxpayers money and also investigate how the Ugandan government has used money especially meant to support the AMISOM in Somalia,” Robert Amsterdam, Bobi Wine’s lawyer told International media in Washington D.C.

Amsterdam added that he and Bobi Wine will in the next few days be meeting American Congressmen and briefing them about the situation in Uganda while providing details about the ‘criminal activity and human rights violations” against citizens.

“The Ugandan government has taken the bogus track of peddling fake news that Mr Wine is supported by a foreign agent. Museveni is a foreign agent. Who is funding his presence in Somalia?”

Senator Paul Williams confirmed that he has raised issues of Bobi Wine in the American Congress.
