Former Buyende DPC Muhammad Kirumira better known as Afande Kirumira and wife have been shot.
Kirumira, an outspoken critic of the police force is said to be battling for his life at a medical facility. However, some sources claim he is dead.
The couple were shot in Bulenga while driving with his wife.
Police spokesperson Emilian Kayima stated that they are at scene of the crime and will give official information shortly.
