In the suspension letters, Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe, the university vice-chancellor ordered the Dean of Student Affairs to commence disciplinary action against the students and the Chief Security Officer to equally commence criminal action.

Obbo’s suspension emanated from a demonstration he held in Lumumba Hall on August 20th threatening to burn the premises despite him not being a resident of the hall.

Bwambale, on the other hand, is said to have made offensive social media posts under the moniker “Young Thug” with the intention to discredit the University and Student Guild administrations that contravenes the University Students Statutory Instrument.

The duo have been suspended until further notice.
