Four-time presidential candidate, Col (Rtd) Kiiza Besigye has revealed that the government planned to kill Kyadondo East Member of Parliament, Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine in Arua and in turn, frame him for the murder.

Besigye made the revelation while addressing the media at his office along Katonga on the state of security in the country.

“What was to happen in Arua was to kill my brother Bobi Wine and arrest Besigye immediately for the death. It was a comprehensive plan. Fortunately, there is a God above stronger than all these evil forces but nonetheless, someone is in his grave.”

According to Besigye, the plan for him to have a confrontation with Bobi Wine as their crowds met but it did not succeed adding that the government’s plan is now to pit opposition politicians against each other.

“When Winnie Kiiza’s house was attacked, they said it was FDC. But the husband himself said the soldiers came in a government vehicle. The plan to eliminate political elements has been there all along but has been done through subtle means like poisoning and indeed, most of our colleagues have retired that way,” he said.
