Besides Prince David Wasajja, the brother to Kabaka of Buganda, diva Irene Namubiru was one of the other public figures that were on the boat cruise that capsized on Lave Victoria on Saturday evening.

Both Wasajja and Namubiru are among the survivors that were rescued by a joint police and army operation that started just above 6:30 pm on Saturday evening.

In a Facebook message to her fans, the diva has said her survival is a sign that God is not done with her just yet and that he is trying to show her something.

“I am still Alive, Safe, and getting medical attention but still so traumatised. My deepest thoughts to our comrades who didn’t make it and condolences to the bereaved families. What can I say? The DEVIL and his ACCOMPLICES are not winning. GOD IS JUST NOT DONE WITH ME YET, but he is for sure trying to make me understand something,” she wrote.

It is not clear whether the birowoozo singer was on the boat to perform at the party or just one of the revellers but the fact that she made it off is one to celebrate.

Rapper Tom Mayanja, popularly known as, The Myth who was also rumoured to be on the boat has spoken out saying he was not aboard the capsized boat and is safe and sound.
