Quiin Abenakyo speaks out after Miss World (Africa)

History maker, Quiin Abenakyo

Reighning Miss Uganda, Quiin Abenakyo has made history as the only Uganda and African at that, to make the top five list at Miss World finals in China. 

Abenakyo who was three places away from the Miss World 2018 crown has settled for Africa gong after he remarkable campaign only garnered 4.96% of the votes by the closure of the voting process. 

Mexico’s Vanessa Ponce has been crowned Miss World at the event that happened in Sanya, China on Saturday afternoon. Abenakyo and the four others were crowned continental winners.

“Can’t say enough Made it 2nd Runner-Up and Miss world Africa. Thanks, Uganda and everyone,” Abenakyo tweeted after the event. 

The 22-year-old is the first Uganda to hold the position.
