Bobi Wine hits back at Museveni: You’ve run down our country, killed our people, and destroyed institutions. You are the enemy of Uganda

During an interview with BCC Africa, President Museveni said government blocks Bobi Wine’s concerts because he discredits the regime in the eyes of foreign investors, and therefore he is not entitled to enjoy the country’s prosperity. Museveni further labelled Bobi Wine an enemy of Uganda’s progress.

Last evening through his official social media platforms, presidential hopeful Bobi Wine hit back at Museveni by branding him as a liar and a coward.

“Shamelessly, Mr. Museveni brands me an enemy of Uganda’s progress! Mr. President, your first name is corruption, second is liar, third is despot,” Bobi Wine said.

“You’ve run down our country, killed our people, destroyed institutions and rule us through the barrel of the gun! You are the enemy of Uganda!” he added.

The People Power leader said Museveni should not brag about any prosperity because he has done more harm than good.

“34 years in power, ailing education sector, sick health-care, sickening poverty levels, unemployment, state capture, murders all over, militarised state, gross human rights violations, nepotism and misuse of power. This is the system Mr. Museveni calls progress and seeks to protect,” Bobi Wine wondered.

About Museveni’s revelation on why Bobi Wine’s concerts are blocked, the Kyadondo legislator said it exposed how government has mastered the art of telling lies.

“The Police leadership lied in the past that we didn’t meet requirements! He now removes all doubt what a cowardly despot he is! We shall certainly overcome,” he said.
