The unveiled new Police plan unveiled last week is already having immediate positive impact on the Force’s operations of trying to fade out criminal gangs in the country.

During Police’s weekly brief on the general security situation in the country this morning, Spokesperson Enanga Fred has told the media that nine of the notorious robbery suspects were over the weekend arrested in a joint security operation in Ntungamo District and Bwebajja.

Enanga said that the suspects were found with five guns that included three SMGs and two riffles. The guns and cartridges have been submitted to the forensic lab for examination. They also recovered three motorcycles, facial masks, and cartridges used in facilitating their missions.

Some of the suspects include, Kalenzi Rogers, Nuwagaba Obadia, Bahati Fred, Mbogo Brian, Tumwiine Augustine and Nkurunziza Sam.

Going by the directive of President Museveni last week, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Major General Muzeyi Sabiiti unveiled a new plan that will help Police and other sister security agencies fight criminal gangs.

And among the plans was tightening their routine close watch of hardcore criminals who have already served their sentences. He said that this will ensure they don’t commit any more crimes.
