Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) continues to see changes effected at top management. Last week on Friday, June 12, President Museveni replaced acting Executive Director Eng. Andrew Kitaka and three top officials with new appointees pending approval.

The appointees include Dorothy Kisaka for Executive Director, Daniel Okello for Director Public Health and Environment, Grace Akullo for Director Human Resource and Eng. David Luyimbazi Ssali as Deputy Executive Director, and Sarah Kanyike for Director Gender, Community Services and Production.

Today, the Authority’s Head of Public and Corporate Affairs who doubled as Spokesperson Peter Kaujju has issued a notice of resignation from this position effective June 30, 2020.

Kaujju has been at KCCA for nine years after joining in 2011 as a Communications Supervisor in the Public and Corporate Affairs (PCA) Office. Over the years, he rose through the ranks until to-date where he has been serving as the Head of Public and Corporate Affairs Department of the Executive Office.

KCCA has released a statement on their social media platforms that speaks well of Kaujju’s tenure at City Hall.

“Under his tenure, Kaujju was instrumental in successfully establishing KCCA’s brand voice and guiding Management on the formulation of a coherent Communications Strategy as well as its execution — in the media, relations with our development partners, members of the diplomatic Corps and a larger percentage of the Public while leading the Communications function of the Institution — a pillar on which the Institution is and will be hinged for the years to come,” the statement reads in part.
