Socialite Charles Olim alias Sipapa has been summoned by Police over alleged shooting at the National Unity Platform headquarters in Kamwokya.

On Tuesday this week, Sipapa who was in company of police allegedly shot at the NUP offices injuring one staff at the gate. Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson said they were notified about the shooting at the NUP offices and investigations are ongoing.

“This is not the first time Sipapa has attacked NUP offices in Kamwokya. His first attack was on August 30 and the recent one of September 15,” Onyango said as he confirmed that police has already summoned Sipapa.

Yesterday, the NUP supporters protested the continued attacks from Sipapa at their offices however; police swung into action and dispersed them with bullets and tear gas.

Following the attack on Tuesday, Joel Ssenyonyi, the NUP spokesperson said it’s becoming ‘very’ normal for Sipapa to provoke them with police doing nothing to stop him.
“Is Sipapa one of Police operatives, and if not, where does he get the guns from and why isn’t he arrested and charged?” Ssenyonyi wondered. He demanded police to come out and address the issue or announce that Sipapa is above the law and cannot be tamed.
