With the on-going presidential campaigns across different parts of the country and the National Unity Platform Presidential candidate Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu pulling crowds despite the strict Electoral Commission guidelines on gatherings, the Senior Presidential Press Secretary Don Wanyama has said that the ruling party National Resistance Movement and President Museveni is politically strong and will merge winners.

“Forget the noise, Numbers don’t lie. On January 14, boys will be isolated from men. National Resistance Movement and President Museveni will have this in the bag,” said Wanyama.

Wanyama also shared number of political candidates fielded to run for elective positions in the forthcoming elections.

“All parties fielded 60,101 for 44,682 elective positions. NRM 43,849   73%  FDC 6,528 11%  NUP 4,955 8%  DP 2,244 4% UPC 1,639  3% ANT 737 1% JEEMA 146 0.2%. And that’s exactly called the power of people,” stated the message.

With Kyagulanyi seeming to be Museveni’s biggest contender in this election, Wanyama says numbers don’t lie and his candidate stands a big chance at winning.
