Odonga Otto charged in Pader Court for alleged illegal possession of gun and assault, remanded to Gulu Prisons

After being subjected to a mental test to confirm his mental stability, outgoing Aruu Member of Parliament Samuel Odonga Otto has been charged in Pader Court for alleged possession of unlicensed gun, assault and Malicious damage to property.

He has been remanded to Gulu government Prisons until April 6 2021.

Otto was arrested earlier this week from Bomah Hotel in Gulu City on orders of Francis Olugu, the Deputy Director Criminal investigation department.

According to Charles Twine, the C.I.D spokesperson, Odonga Otto has consistently refused to honour police summons from as far back as 2018 hence Olugu decided to order for his arrest.

In 2018, Odonga is said to have committed multiple crimes that include; malicious damage to property after he allegedly knocked a parked vehicle and assaulted the driver of the vehicle. He is also alleged to have used unlicensed gun to smash the windscreen of the vehicle he allegedly knocked.
