Kawempe North Member of Parliament-elect Mohammed Ssegirinya’s condition is reportedly continuing to worsen as per his Ssegirinya Muhammad Mr Updates Fans Page. According to the updates from the page, the comic MP elect is fighting for his life in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

“After ear cardiology scan turned bad, MP Ssegirinya is now in ICU,” says the Admin of the page.

Ssegirinya was rushed to Kenya’s capital city, Nairobi, for further treatment on Monday. His page reported that the doctors at Nairobi Hospital diagnosed that he had been poisoned.

The MP elect had been initially admitted at the Doctors hospital in Sseguku with ear and abdominal complications following his release from Kitalya prison where he spent almost a month.

He was arrested on March 22, 2021 as he led a peaceful demonstration demanding for the release of the National Unity Platform (NUP) supporters that are being held by security operatives in various detention centres.
