Mukono municipality legislator Betty Nambooze has applauded former Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga for being courageous and standing against Jacob Oulanyah who had President Yoweri Museveni and NRM’s backing.

Nambooze says that Kadaga’s bravery is a rare action in NRM as its members are ‘yes’ people to whatever Museveni says.

“I want to congratulate Kadaga but I’m wondering where she got the energy to go through with this because Tayebwa failed to do it,” says Nambooze.

Nambooze claims that for the first time parliament is going to have a deputy speaker who is more powerful than the speaker.

She comically congratulated Oulanyah for being voted deputy speaker.

On what next for Kadaga, Nambooze says she has four things to choose on; first to go back and become ordinary person and represent her people of Kamuli. Secondly, to resign from parliament and look for an international job, thirdly, to join opposition. And lastly, to go back and plead with Museveni for forgiveness.
