Uganda has experienced a sharp spike in COVID-19 Cases and in just two days, today on Sunday and yesterday on Saturday, over 1000 new cases have been reported by the ministry of health.

The situation has forced the ministry of health to take stern emergency measures. The past days have awakened majority Ugandans to heed to government’s call for vaccination and so they have been flocking the ministry of health headquarters in Wandegeya.

Today, the ministry has announced that they will not be any more vaccination at their offices as the exercise will now take place at Kololo Independence Grounds effective tomorrow Monday May 31 2021 from 9:00am to 5:00pm daily.

“All those in the priority groups and those eligible for their second dose are advised to take note of the change,” said the ministry in a statement.

Yesterday President Yoweri Museveni addressed the country on second wave of COVID-19 where he aired a warning before urging Ugandans to be more vigilant by following the Standard Operating Procedures.

Museveni disclosed that he will make another address on Wednesday to give new measures to be implemented.
