The ‘machete-wielding’ men are continuing to rampage the Masaka sub region and last night the goons attempted to attack another family n Kimanya-Kabonera Division, Masaka City.
The gang attacked the home of a 68-year-old who has been identified as Joweria Nakirijja and smashed her house windows before making their way inside the house.
Fortunately, the neighbours made alarm that alerted Police who immediately responded and averted the crime.
However, due to the heavy darkness, none of the assailants was shot at or even identified. Patrols are ongoing and road blocks have been mounted to net the gang.
Sadly still in the Masaka sub region, two more people a 65 year old woman and her granddaughter were killed last night in Bwasa -Kasaana in Kingo Subcounty Lwengo district.
According to Police, this puts the death toll to 23 in almost a month.
