Police has said that MPs Allan Ssewanyana and Muhamad Ssegirinya are the master minds behind the machete killings in Greater Masaka.
Speaking during the press conference today, Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga said the suspects they have arrested in their week long operation in the different areas of the Masaka region have pinned the two legislators.
Enanga stated that the suspects narrated to Police how they (suspects) were recruited before holding a meeting with the two MPs in Ndeeba where they were promised wealth among other things if they execute the missions.
Ssegirinya and Ssewanyana together with their lawyers have today appeared at Masaka Central Police Station following last week’s summons from Police.
By press time, the two MPs were still being interrogated in regards to the recent killings in the greater Masaka region.
