Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has once again postponed the reopening of the old taxi park.

The much-anticipated reopening of the renovated Old Taxi Park was scheduled to take place today October 20, 2021.

In a statement, KCCA says they are still engaging the taxi leadership to be able to come up with management structures that will cater for stage allocation and adherence to COVID-19 SOPs.

KCCA started renovations in May 2020, when the country was still in total lockdown. The authorities planned to complete the works in August 2020 but it has dragged on to date.

They are yet to demarcate stages, renovate administration offices, toilets, clinics, and passenger shelters.
