Last week reports emerged that Kawempe South Member of Parliament Hon. Muhammad Ssegirinya was in critical condition. With  Prison authorities allegedly denying  his relatives access to him, his lawyer, the Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago revealed to Daily Monitor how he is fearing for his client’s life.

“I am here in the hospital (Mulago Hospital) checking on my client and I can confirm to you that he is profusely shivering, talking uncoordinated things and at times convulsing,” said Lukwago.

He added that he’s being told that they are doing everything possible to make sure Ssegirinya’s life is out of danger but are not telling him what he is suffering from.
