Police in Jinja have arrested a pastor and his wife over the alleged sacrifice of a 4-year-old girl.
According to the Kiira regional police spokesperson, James Mubi, the suspects, Prophet Joseph Sserubiri and Felista Namaganda already told detectives that they killed Trinity Nakisuyi Nabirye Zabeela.
He added that the couple admitted having murdered the child in the church with the motive of establishing a powerful deliverance church in Kakira.
Nabirye is the daughter of John Mulodi a resident of Kakira market zone, Kakira town council, Jinja district. She went missing from her parents’ home in the same zone on September 30.
Mubi said that Prophet Sserubiri and Namaganda of Deliverance and Healing Ministries led detectives to Wanyange Village on the shores of Lake Victoria where Nabirye’s skull was recovered- and then to a sugarcane plantation in Kakira where her decomposed body was found.
