The cause of the accident has been attributed to reckless driving.

All the injured victims were rushed to Nakasongola Health Centre IV, St. Franciscan Health Centre IV, and Kasana Hospital Luwero for first aid treatment.

This comes after another road accident involving a Roblyn bus that rammed into a stationary trailer at Adebe Trading Center in Kamdini along the Kampala-Gulu highway. At least 16 people died and 21 others were injured.
