However, on March 10, she disappeared and her mother, Aisha Nalukenge reported to the police in Nsangi.

The 24-year-old reported herself to Nsangi police last evening. According to Patrick Onyango, Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Najjuko told the OC CID that she was being forced into a marriage she didn’t want.

Onyango claimed that Najjuko told the police that a man she wanted to marry had been rejected by her parents.

In Uganda, forced marriage is a violation of human rights.
