Four people have died on the spot while three others sustained serious injuries after a truck they were travelling overturned several times in Kassanda along the Mubende-Mityana road on Sunday morning.

According to Superintendent of Police Kawala Racheal, the Wamala region police spokesperson, the accident involved a black Fuso Fighter motor vehicle with registration UAY 415C. The truck, loaded with matooke and en route from Mubende to Kampala, experienced a brake failure, causing it to lose control and overturn multiple times. The rollover led to the immediate deaths of four occupants, while three others were seriously injured.

The injured people have been identified as Grace Nambusi, 40, a resident of Kikajo, Namasuba in Wakiso district; Bright Patrick, 34, residing in Kibiri-Busaabala in Wakiso district; and Lydia Nadunga, 42, a businesswoman hailing from Kalerwe in Kampala.
