The police have arrested the suspected boyfriend of Rashidah Nakaddu, a student at Buganda Royal Institute who was killed last in her rented room in Nabweru, Wakiso district. The arrest occurred after the police discovered him receiving treatment at Rubaga Hospital.

Rashidah Nakaddu was killed by stabbing allegedly by her boyfriend, who had paid her a visit at her place in Nabweru Kibwa, Nansana Municipality, Wakiso district last week.

According to Luke Owoyesigyire, the Deputy Police Spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan, during questioning, Nakaddu’s boyfriend, Kasim Iga, admitted that their separation had led to a dispute that ultimately drove him to hunt down and kill her.
