Parents of an 8-year-old girl who was allegedly raped and later battered by their neighbour, a witch doctor named Mubiru Dan, are seeking justice.

Mubiru Dan allegedly raped the girl in a nearby bush and then hit her on the head with a hoe, intending to kill her.

He reportedly left her for dead in the bush. However, passersby found her and rushed her to the hospital, where she received treatment and was discharged.

Unfortunately, the assault left part of her body paralyzed due to a severe skull fracture, as reported by doctors.

Mubiru Dan was arrested and is currently detained at Nansana Police Station.

On Tuesday, Nansana Deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Charles Lwanga, accompanied by security officers, searched Mubiru Dan’s shrine in Gombe village. During the search, authorities discovered human bones in the shrine.

Mugerwa Benjamin, head of traditional healers in Wakiso district, stated that Mubiru Dan is not affiliated with them, citing the shrine’s contents as evidence of his murderous activities.

Deputy RDC Charles Lwanga vowed to pursue the case until justice is served.
