Seth Murari has officially declared his candidacy for the Mbarara City mayorship. Murari gained significant recognition for his proactive role in promoting the “Clean Mbarara City” initiative through the annual Save River Rwizi Marathon.

This event serves to raise awareness about the threats facing River Rwizi and to establish sustainable waste management solutions for the city. His efforts have led to the construction of several underground waste bunkers aimed at safeguarding the river and ensuring a cleaner urban environment.

Beyond environmental concerns, Murari has been a consistent supporter of sports within Mbarara City. He is widely known for organizing successful moto rallies at Booma Grounds—events that consistently attract large crowds from diverse backgrounds and stimulate local businesses.
