Police in Kanungu District have arrested a private security guard accused of killing city businessman Anthony Mutinisa, the proprietor of Mutinisa Motors Uganda.

The suspect, Byaruhanga Hillary, 28, who works with Don World Security Limited, is alleged to have shot Mutinisa, 53, in cold blood on Sunday evening before fleeing with the victim’s vehicle, a Toyota Land Cruiser registration number UA 769 BQ.

The stolen car was later recovered in Katwe Cell, Kihihi Town Council, during a police operation that also led to the arrest of another suspect, Akampa Mark, who was found in the company of the guard.

Police say investigations into the motive and circumstances surrounding the murder are still underway.
