Police have increased the cash reward for information leading to the arrest of suspects in the brutal murder of David Mutanga and his wife, Deborah Mutanga, in Entebbe.

Police Spokesperson Rusoke Kituuma said the reward, initially set at Shs 50 million, has been raised to Shs 60 million as investigators intensify the hunt for those responsible.

“We continue to search for those behind the murder of Mr and Mrs Mutanga. We had earlier offered Shs 50 million, but this reward has now been increased to Shs 60 million,” Kituuma stated.

Authorities shared the photo and voice recording of one key suspect believed to be linked to the killings.

The couple were found murdered at their home in Lugonjo, Nakiwogo Cell, Entebbe Municipality, Wakiso District, on 6 July—just hours after hosting a welcome party with family and friends.

The attacker—believed to have carried out prior surveillance—allegedly scaled the perimeter wall using an electric pole and fatally stabbed both victims.

Angela Nakalema and David Golooba, both domestic workers at the Mutanga residence, were arrested to assist with the investigation. Police said the two had left the house at around 7:45 p.m., shortly before the attack occurred.
