Lands Minister Nabakooba involved in road crash

The Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Judith Nabakooba has been involved in a road accident at Kibukuta swamp in Mpigi District while travelling to Rwampara District for an official land title handover ceremony. The accident happened at 8:30 AM at Kibukula Swamp along the Kampala–Masaka Highway.

The crash involved vehicle number UBR 811D, a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and a pedestrian identified as Batera Flavia, a resident of Kyengera, who died on the spot.

The driver of the vehicle and the Minister sustained minor injuries. They were rushed to Nkozi Hospital for medical attention and were later discharged.

The body of the deceased was conveyed to Gombe Hospital Mortuary for a postmortem examination. The vehicle involved was towed and is currently parked at the police station.
