History at stake as confident KCCA FC face Club Africain

From being the first Uganda team to making it to CAF competition group stages, Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) is tonight chasing another milestone of being the first Ugandan team to make it to quarter final of the CAF completion.

 The 12 time Ugandan league champions will tonight play their last Group A game against Club Africain at Stade Olympique De Reds. According to skipper and team captain Denis Okot, the squad is in good shape to make history.

We are not under any pressure but everybody is geared towards the game tomorrow. We are in perfect condition and just waiting to do our job,” said Okot.

KCCA FC only needs a draw to advance to quarter final as group A winners since they will have attained a better head to head that opponents Club Africain. Currently both teams are level on 9 points. KCCA FC won the first leg against Club Africain 2-1 at the StarTimes Uganda Stadium thanks to Tom Masiko and Derrick Nsibambi’s goals.

In the other fixture of Group A, FUS Rabat from Morocco will be hosting Nigeria’s Rivers United both teams have hopes of advancing to next round depending on the result form KCCA fc game.

Club Africain v KCCA FC Stade Olynpique De Reds, 11pm

FUS Rabat v Rivers United, 10pm
