The 2018 National Basketball League tips-off this weekend on Saturday, May 12 at Lugogo Indoor MTN Arena. Unlike the previous seasons where games have been played on Friday and Sunday, this season it has changed to Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Just like last season, five time back to back champions City Oilers and Power face off in the headline game of the opening day. Power will fancy their chances as they have always come top of Oilers in the regular season and it will be no surprise if they repeat the feat. With a mission to dethrone Oilers, Power has added Stephen Wundi, Geoffrey Soro and Philip Ameny on their roster.
