During his appearance on the NTV’s Press Box show yesterday, FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo went bare knuckles on FUFA Presidential hopeful and nemesis Hon. Allan Ssewanyana.

Ssewanyana is alleged to be the whistleblower in the 2014 world Cup ticket sale case that saw Magogo fined over Shs37 million and suspended for two months.

Magogo denied Ssewanyana having an influence in the case saying; “He is a joker. He is a pawn in a chess game. He is the one willing to run around and be noticed.”

Andrew Kabuura, the host of the Press Box told Magogo how they have invited Ssewanyana twice to appear on the show and he has pulled out on both times.

In his reply, Magogo said the only way they (Press Box) can get Ssewanyana on the show is if the language spoken on the show is changed.

“I will give you a trick. If you want him (Ssewanyana) to appear on this show you might need to change and broadcast it in Luganda,” Magogo said.

Back to his case Magogo explained why he decided to enter a plea bargain. He said, “I entered the plea bargain because there was no way I was going to present the names of who had purchased the tickets.”

On being thrown a welcome back party, the FUFA President said those who welcomed him back are people who love football and appreciate his contribution.

“I am the best FUFA President Uganda has ever had. And this is supported by statistics and my achievements,” he said.

Magogo will today officially be handed back office by his deputy Justus Mugisha.
