Following a one-month break to allow six-time defending champions City Oilers participate at the BAL Qualifiers in Kigali, the Tusker Lite National Basketball League final playoffs resume today, Friday at the at MTN Indoor Arena, Lugogo.

Oilers lead the seven-game playoff finals 2-1 against UCU Canons. Tonight will be the Game 4 and the Mukono-based side that got the first win of these play-offs will be battling to level the series so that they do not guarantee moneybags Oilers a relief of safely cruising to their seventh title in exactly seven years.

UCU’s head coach Nick Natuhereza believes that going into a break when his side was a win down has kept his boys mentally motivated and now in good condition to stage a comeback.

Natuhereza will however need his arguably best player during the regular season David Deng to step-up as he has been so far a ‘tourist’ in the finals.

On the other hand, Oilers almost look ready to stretch the series to 3-1 given the continental showpiece was another competitive preparation stage for them. All their dependables, Jimmy Enabu, Landry Ndikumana and James Okello looked sharp in Kigali.
