This past Sunday at Legends Rugby Grounds, The Budo League entered its most crucial stretch of the season, the final bend to the finale.

Sunday’s match day was hosted by Endgame FC and powered by Guinness, bringing together alumni football lovers under one roof in classic, rain-kissed Sunday league tradition.

Now in Season 8, the competition is tighter than ever with just four weeks to go before the ultimate decider.

The battle for leaderboard dominance is in full throttle, with teams leaving everything on the turf to secure their spot in the top bracket.

Among the All-Star runners-up, fan-favourite Peaky Blinders, resilient Galacticos FC, the tactically sharp Wealth Guardians FC, crowd-pleasers Basunzi Team, and the ever-spirited Abachuba 2012 continued their impressive form despite the brief rain delay that interrupted play mid-match.

While the football brought the fire, the entertainment brought the flair. Entertainers and DJs lit up the sidelines, headlined by DJ Etania, alongside DJ Kai, DJ Handsome, and DJ Essmatic.

This season, Guinness continues to elevate the matchday experience as the official beverage sponsor making every Sunday unforgettable for players and fans.

“Our brand remains at the heart of the league’s social fabric as we continue to bring people together for such networking moments. Every match day is a chance to deliver bold experiences and inspire new connections which is in alignment with what is the spirit of Guinness,” said Denise Nazzinda, Brand Manager, Guinness Uganda.

“As we count down to the grand finale, we’re excited to keep fuelling these moments of greatness both on and off the pitch.”

With adrenaline high and stakes even higher, The Budo League inches closer to crowning a Season 8 champion and if the Endgame Carnival was anything to go by, the next four weeks promise unmissable football action.
